Installation Instructions:
Automatic Models:
- Pop the cup holder
out. With a 7 mm nut driver. Remove the two hex head screws at the top
of the cup holder cubicle, as shown in the picture to the right.
- Remove the trim
bezel surrounding the radio and climate control. Use a bezel removal
tool to lift the lower right corner until the retainer clip is released
and continue around the bezel until all six retainer clips are lifted.
Disconnect the wiring and set the bezel aside.
- Select the spot
to mount the bracket and then remove a portion of the curled lip on
the bezel-backing ridge wide enough to accommodate the bracket and any
wires that may be required. A sharp utility knife or a dremel tool can
be used for this purpose. Refer to the picture on the right.
- Fit the BR176 on
the cut portion and fasten it to the horizontal surface with two wood
or sheet metal screws. Reconnect the wiring and replace the bezel.
Standard Models: Proceed as above but the bracket must be mounted in the corner nearest
the driver, with the 1/4" hole directly over the screw retainer clip.
To remove the bezel start by lifting the rubber liner from the cup holder
and removing two bolts from the cup wells.
Alternative: Mount our BR154 bracket in the square hole located to the right of the
climate control. Remove the bezel and mount the bracket on the left wall
of the hole. |
