This bracket is mounted between the lighter and cup holder, below the climate control.
- Remove the bezel surrounding the radio and climate control. First pull the bezel from each upper corner of the radio with hook tool, and then pull from each lower corner of climate control.
- Disconnect the 4X4 switch located on the left side of the bezel. Do not disconnect the air bag switch on the right side of the bezel. Swing the bezel to the right and set it on top of the dash to allow room for installation.
- Open the cup holder and, using Ford radio removal tools, remove the radio without disconnecting it, and set it on the open cup holder. Remove 4 screws that hold the climate control in place. Pull the climate control out without overstretching the wires.
- Take the BR164 in the position shown and slide it under the climate control on the bottom flat surface of the climate control and install the screw to hold the bracket. Push the BR164 in so that the bend will rest tight against the dash, and fasten with 2 needle point screws.
- Remove the screw from the climate control's mounting hole and put the climate control back in place. Secure with the 4 screws, then reinstall the radio, reconnect the 4X4 switch and push the bezel back into place.
